CUPRINOL DECKING OIL

A lightly tinted finish to nourish and protect garden decks.

Decking Oil
Cuprinol Decking Oil is the traditional way to enhance and protect garden decks.

It penetrates deep into the wood to replace natural oils and resins whilst its tinted formula revitalises the colour of weathered wood.

Colours
Natural Oak    Natural Cedar    Natural Pine

Pack Sizes
2.5 L   and    5 L

How Much Is Needed
A 5 litre tin is normally sufficient for: 50m² with 2 coats.
Note that weathered or sawn wood and grooved decking will reduce coverage.

Where To Use
Cuprinol Decking Oil is suitable for use on all types of timber decking including boards and tiles. It is particularly suitable for hardwood decking and for reviving the colour of weathered decks.

Preparing the surface

Timber specifically sold for decking is normally pre-treated with wood preserver to prevent decay. If using unpreserved timber, treat with Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear and allow to dry for 3-5 days before applying Cuprinol Decking Oil. Seek advice for specific treatment methods for timber used in ground contact. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from surface coatings, algae and mould. For best results, brush to remove dust and debris, then clean surfaces with Cuprinol Decking Cleaner. Rinse well and allow to dry.

How to apply
Shake can well before and frequently during use. Apply evenly by brush or coarse spray avoiding splashing surrounding plants, brickwork, glass etc. Apply a second coat if required once the first coat has penetrated into the wood. Do not allow puddles to form.

Drying time
1-2 days depending on conditions. Avoid walking on decks until fully dry.

Cleaning and storage
Remove as much Cuprinol Decking Oil as possible from brushes before cleaning with white spirit. For best results use Polycell Brush Cleaner. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature. Clean up any spills while still wet.

Always read the pack instructions carefully before use.
